Events Innovation

It was a big week for the KJR team who hosted and presented alongside businesses breaking new ground at Tropical Innovations Festivals’ second year event in Cairns.

Future of Healthcare

General Manager for ACT, Andrew Hammond kicked off with a future of Healthcare Breakfast session on the Wednesday morning showcasing KJR’s cutting edge project tackling truck driver fatigue and fatal incidents on Australian roads, Fatigue M8. His presentation, showcasing the practical application of #healthtech to a real-world health and safety challenge in Australia, demonstrated the innovative AI powered technology behind Fatigue M8’s smart steering wheel which collects real-time driver ECG data to predict the onset of their fatigue and recommend intervals of rest to avoid dangerous accidents.

Also joining this session was KJR Founder Dr Kelvin Ross who presented on big data analytics, ai and robotics for healthcare focusing in on his being completed at Data nexus and platform Datarwe– where KJR facilitates with services in data quality, governance and assurance. The two continued discussions on technology for improvements to health process as part of the sessions QA panel exploring future innovation in the health-tech space.

Tackling Resource Shortages

Back for the afternoon KJR sat with “The Engineers” for a Tech Talk on resource challenges and talent shortages enveloping the industry. A primary focus in which KJR is committed to improving through various initiatives including with the ICT Forum Gold Coast, the team took opportunity to posit effective methods for addressing this head on, and through demonstrated approaches highlighting work environments where tech talent is encouraged to thrive and grow.

Indigenous Round Table

KJR was the major sponsor of the festivals first ever Indigenous Round Table that gathered Indigenous entrepreneurs innovating within their industries for a discussion on how best to adapt successful business models to inspire more entrepreneurs to innovate and bring business to the region; catalysing the growth and success of forward thinkers within Indigenous communities.

What a pleasure it was to be involved again this year. We are continually inspired and in awe of the incredible people and businesses making waves and creating change within the Australian business sector. For more information on the Festival click here.
