Celebrating 25 years of KJR with employees 1 2 & 3

News

Not many companies nor their employees can say they’ve been with each other since day one. For KJR Principal Consultants Dr Steven Butler and Dr John D’Alton as well as CTO Dr Mark Pedersen this accolade is twenty five years in the making- and deservedly celebrated amongst the team.

Having joined KJR as test consultants within its first year (1997) the trio have achieved paralleled growth and development with the companies success in delivering quality assurance for trusted software. From working on project 1.0 for KJR’s first ever client (who we still do business with) to leading/mentoring the next generation of up-and-coming consultants Steven, John and Mark have accomplished remarkable outcomes personally and for the business.

Recently we sat down with all three on their time with KJR and Founder Dr Kelvin Ross. Travelling down memory lane the trio reflected on all they’ve achieved which is why they have stayed with KJR for so long.

Dr Steve Butler

KJR has helped me to learn skills in various ways over the years. Our legendary summer schools have helped me learn leadership skills in an academic setting, but it has been working with other people in small and large teams that have helped me to develop the most.”

Dr John D'Alton

KJR is a brilliant place because we believe in people and empower them to grow- we allow room to try new things and make mistakes, and provide lots of opportunities to learn and practice new leadership skills. When I first started testing, Kelvin taught me so much, and then every new project since, he gave me new opportunities to learn test management, performance test leadership among other skills

Dr Mark Pedersen

Working with KJR, I’ve always found myself in a position to grow: there’s always enough of a stretch to keep me learning, whether that’s a technical skill or a management skill or a personal challenge. More importantly, I’ve always found enough support around me to take on those challenges.

It’s a special mix of talent, skill and personality that makes up the KJR Collective. And we’re always on the hunt for willing new members. Join our talent community here
