KJR wins 2023 National AIIA Diversity Award

News

KJR has won the AIIA Diversity Award at the 2023 National iAwards.

The award aims to acknowledge individuals, groups, or companies that have actively fostered diversity and inclusion by establishing an environment that appreciates, encourages, and embraces the unique talents of each individual.

The win recognises the long-term vision of KJR founder and Chairman Dr. Kelvin Ross to nurture a culture of respect, collaboration, innovation and empathy and reflects our company’s ongoing efforts to lead by example in this direction.

This award is recognition of something very important to me as founder of KJR. It is the culmination of team focus on talent, culture and our values across our KJR family.

Over the past 26 years, KJR has developed robust HR policies and a CSR charter that align with our mission of creating a positive contribution to diversity. We have dedicated our efforts to improving  diversity at KJR through the implementation of various internal projects, external sponsorships, and innovative technology projects that assist communities across Australia.

These initiatives include –

Ensuring Equal Pay

Gender equality is exemplified in our company-wide remuneration policy, as both male and female senior consultants at KJR receive equal compensation.

Having 37% of the current workforce being female shows a positive gender gap for KJR. However, KJR is working towards its recruitment strategy to have more females within the collective.

To ensure equal pay for equal work, KJR uses benchmark data such as Aon Professional Services/Professional Employee Awards levels to pay our employees accordingly to the market rate. KJR also creates an open environment for its employees to have informal conversations with their manager throughout the year to discuss their performance/progress.
