Exciting news out of the nation’s capital this week as WNBL reigning champions, the University of Canberra Capitals announced the inaugural KJR 3×3 Corporate Cup.
For the uninitiated, 3×3 Basketball has been growing in popularity both in social and competitive circles as an extra fast-paced round-robin style event that can see a championship won and lost in the space of a day. The KJR 3×3 Corporate Cup will be held on Friday 4th October and offers organisations the opportunity to buy a license, build a team and get ready for the greatest corporate challenge they’ve ever seen!
KJR’s General Manager for ACT, Andrew Hammond speaks of this initiative: “Sport and business have a strong tradition of going hand in hand; and there is no better way to build and strengthen connections within the business community than some friendly competition. Participating in competitions such as the KJR 3×3 Corporate Cup we’ll give the participants a deeper understanding and appreciation of the awesome athletes the Caps are and just how hard it is to play 10 mins of basketball! I can’t wait to #GoBig.”
Team franchises are now available for purchase, and all teams will enjoy the life of a ‘professional’ sports team including personalised jerseys with your business logo, a 1hr coaching clinic with a UC Capitals player or coach, a team photo with the Caps, and the opportunity to purchase a UC Capitals player via auction! Coming on as naming-rights sponsors, KJR will of course be joining in the fun with two teams – the KJR Champions and KJR Explorers.
